Corn steep liquor contains a wealth of sulfites, peptides, polysaccharides, proteins, various amino acids, and unknown growth factors. Spraying the steep liquor onto corn bran increases the crude protein content and, by appropriately raising the dietary fiber, helps promote digestion and absorption in livestock.
